KloudAway Directions
*Measurement using bottle cap
Use 1 capful (5mL) for each 10 gallons of aquarium water.
Do not treat aquarium with KloudAway after the lights go off. During this time, the pH levels naturally decrease slightly, and the additional drop in pH caused by the treatment may stress the aquarium's inhabitants.
1. Be sure to Rinse or replace your filter pad or filter socks before beginning treatment
(mechanical filter required).
2. Shake bottle well before each use.
3. Use 1 capful (5ml) of KloudAway solution for each 10 gallons of aquarium water.
Please do not "free pour" as this may result in excessive, constant cloudiness.
4. Gradually add our water clarifier into an area of high-water flow in your aquarium.
For best results, leave your filtration and aeration systems ON.
5. Wait a few hours for KloudAway to do its magic. Water may get cloudier due to very fine particles
clumping into larger particles. Allow at least 12 hours for flocculation process to complete.
When the water becomes clear, replace or clean your fish tank filter pad or cartridge.
6. If necessary, the aquarium may be retreated after 24 hours. After second treatment wait 5 days
before additional dosage. A partial water change of 10% to 20% is recommended between treatments
*Treating Soft Water Aquariums
Treat soft water aquariums at half the normal dosage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Take a clear glass, scoop up some aquarium water and hold the glass against a white sheet of paper to determine what color the water is. See chart above to compare results.
Yes. You must have a mechanical filter pad such as FilterFirst to trap floating particles, to remove them from the water.
The gas exchange occurs at the top 1/16 inch of the water’s surface, which means that your filter or air bubbles must agitate this layer to allow carbon dioxide to escape and fresh oxygen to enter the water.
Performing a water change before adding KloudAway is a good idea, as it helps remove excess waste and debris that contribute to cloudy water.
Once KloudAway is added, particles in the water start to clump together and become more visible. Don't worry! This is the first sign that the product is working.
Sometimes the water may turn brown, but it's harmless to your aquatic friends and will clear up within a few days.
Since free-floating algae multiply continuously, KloudAway typically doesn't clear green water. An algaecide or ultraviolet sterilizer is usually necessary.
